D200
High-End DAC and preamplifier for uncompromising sound
The SMSL D200 is a complete digital-to-analog converter and preamplifier that uses the most modern technologies to ensure that the user receives the clearest, most accurate and most natural sound experience possible. The heart of the device is the ROHM BD34352EKV DAC chip, which provides extremely low distortion and high dynamic range, while advanced clock signal management and power supply solutions ensure the purity of the signal path. The D200 is the ideal centerpiece of high-end hi-fi systems, suitable for audiophile users, musicians working in professional environments and those who want to enjoy studio quality at home.
XMOS XU-316 USB processor - fast and stable data transfer
The USB input is based on the new generation XMOS XU-316 processor, which enables real 32-bit USB data transfer. The chip offers native DSD and DoP support, as well as PCM processing up to 768 kHz sampling rate. This architecture not only ensures fast and stable data transmission, but also contributes to clear sound reproduction by preserving the integrity of the signal.
ROHM BD34352EKV DAC chip - precision signal conversion
One of the most important components of the D200 is the ROHM BD34352EKV decoder chip, which is the manufacturer's solution specifically designed for high-fidelity use. This chip works with an extremely low distortion of only 0.00019%, which corresponds to -114 dB. This precision ensures that every small detail of the digital signal is transferred to the analog output accurately and without distortion. The chip can reproduce even the most demanding musical materials in their original quality, which creates the basis for an uncompromising sound experience.
Full format support - PCM, DSD and MQA
The D200 is a full-fledged MQA and MQA-CD decoder capable of first (and final) decompression of compressed studio recordings. Thus, the listener receives exactly the sound quality that the performer and sound engineer recorded in the studio.
Through its USB, coaxial and optical inputs, the device can process PCM signals up to 32 bit/768 kHz, as well as native DSD signals up to DSD512. The optical and coaxial inputs are also compatible with the DoP64 standard, so DSD playback is ensured from these sources as well. Thanks to the flexible format support, the D200 can serve all modern digital sources at the highest level.
Clock management - CK-03 circuit and external clock input
One of the most critical factors in digital audio is timing. SMSL equipped the D200 with a proprietary CK-03 clock processing circuit that drastically reduces jitter. In addition, the device also supports the use of external clock signals: a standard 10 MHz clock signal generator or even an atomic clock can be connected to it. With this feature, the D200 can be integrated into the highest level of audiophile systems, where every minute timing accuracy matters.
Built-in preamplifier - with true symmetrical construction
The D200 is not only a DAC, but also a full-fledged preamplifier. Two NJU72315 components ensure the fully balanced, symmetrical pre-stage operation. The measured distortion is only 0.00013%, which is an outstanding value in this category. The device offers both preamp and fixed output modes, so it can be flexibly adapted to different systems - either directly to an amplifier or in an integrated chain.
Display and handling - 1.9 inch glass panel
The centerpiece of the front panel is the 1.9-inch fully laminated tempered glass display, which offers high light transmission and long life. The new UI is clear, quick to use, and has Chinese language support. In the case of a Bluetooth connection, the display can also display song information and lyrics, so the visual experience together with the sound quality gives a complete picture.
Clean power supply and low noise level
A stable power supply is crucial for sound quality. The D200 uses a linear power supply that works with patented Adaptive Voltage Switching technology. In addition, several low-noise stabilized voltage stages supply the analog circuits, so the conversion remains clean and noise-free under all conditions.
Wireless freedom - Bluetooth 5.1 in high definition
The D200 uses Qualcomm's latest generation Bluetooth chip, which supports LDAC (24 bit/96 kHz), aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, and SBC and AAC codecs. The external Bluetooth antenna offers a stronger signal and a more stable connection. With the included remote control, all playback functions - play, pause, track change - can be easily controlled.
