SMLIGHT SLZB-06U is a modular, multi-protocol LAN + USB gateway that combines central management of Zigbee 3.0 and Thread (Matter over Thread) networks in a single device. The high-gain external antenna and next-generation radio chip (TI CC2652P) ensure a stable, long-range mesh network. Ethernet (PoE), Wi-Fi and USB-C connectivity allow flexible installation.
The "U" edition is an improved version of the SLZB-06: it adds hardware process control to the radio SoC, the RJ45 LEDs can be controlled from software, and the USB mode allows the radio to appear as a separate USB serial device. Furthermore, the USB-passthrough (USB-over-IP) function is supported, so that USB radios (e.g. ZWA-2) can also be used over a network.
An ideal choice for future-proof, cloud-independent installations based on Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT and OpenThread, where flexible integration with the Matter ecosystem is important.
