The Smartlight SLWF‑08 is an HDMI‑CEC controller that, when used with ESPHome or Home Assistant systems, allows you to query and control the status of devices supporting the HDMI‑CEC protocol (e.g. power on/off, volume, input selection, etc.). This solution is useful if your TV or media player has HDMI‑CEC support and you want to integrate its control into your smart home center.

It is important that you have to upload the appropriate ESPHome firmware to the controller yourself (firmware assembly required). The tool also offers additional options, such as Support for WS2812B LED strip control, which is ideal for use as a backlight behind a TV, for example.
