The SmallRig cage for the Nikon Z 9 is designed to provide accessory mounts and protection for the camera. The cage attaches to the camera with a 1/4"-20 screw and pin at the bottom, as well as the right shoulder strap hole. It has multiple 1/4"-20 threaded holes and an ARRI 3/8"-16 mounting hole to support the 2165 top handle, the 2093 side handle, the 2903 monitor stand, a hot shoe on top for mounting microphones, LED lights, etc., an Arca Swiss tray on the bottom for direct conversion to tripod shooting, and several 1/4"-20 threaded holes that allow you to mount the quick release tray (top) of the DJI RS 2/RSC 2 with two 1/4" screws. The two 1/4"-20 threaded holes on the front of the cage allow you to attach a 942 15mm bar clamp, which supports lens holder, follow focus, matte box, etc. Protective rubber pads throughout the inside of the cage prevent scratches, and it also has a built-in magnetic flathead screwdriver and an easy-to-use Allen key.
