In 1997, a runaway teenager heads west with his yellow toy robot in a strange America. The countryside is polluted by the ruins of huge combat drones and the garbage of an advanced consumer society that has started to decline. As they reach the edge of the continent with their car, a world unfolds before them, in which civilization seems to have surrendered after a long struggle. What can they hope for?
