The SilverStone FSM08B-MS is a drive enclosure designed for a 5.25-inch bay, capable of connecting up to eight M.2 SSDs with hot-swap operation. Its steel housing and stainless steel insert provide a sturdy and durable solution for both professional and home use.
The enclosure supports PCIe NVMe M.2 SSDs (NGFF) with M key in 22x30 mm, 22x42 mm, 22x60 mm, 22x80 mm and 22x110 mm sizes, offering transfer speeds of up to 32 Gbit/s per drive. Connection is made via eight external SFF-8654 ports, complemented by two 15-pin SATA connectors.
Two 40x20 mm fans provide efficient cooling, while blue (HDD operation) and flashing green (HDD access) indicator lights show the operating status. Note that the motherboard or expansion card must support PCIe bifurcation in 4x4 or 4x2 configuration. The black unit measures 146 x 42 x 168 mm and weighs 1.3 kg.
