SHIMODA Core Unit Large DSLR v3

This large DSLR V3 Core Unit from Shimoda Designs is an internal divider insert that can "accommodate" mirrorless or DSLR cameras up to 6.3" tall with or without grips.

Its internal length allows you to carry longer telephoto lenses and other longer equipment. This core unit is ideal when you need to pack, cushion, organize and protect a lot of gear. It fits seamlessly into the side access of the Action X40, X50 and Explore 35 backpacks, as well as the X70 backpack and Carry-On and DV rolling bags. The core unit features EVA-laminated dividers and sidewalls, an internal frame for stiffness and support, and a lightweight, versatile and removable skin.

Quick side camera access
The large DSLR core unit has integrated side access and full rear access. The side door connects to the side panel of Explore or Action X backpacks for smooth and easy use.

Modular compartments
It is slightly larger in volume than a combination of a medium and a small DSLR core unit. In a larger backpack like the Action X70, a small DSLR core unit can be placed on top of the larger one to increase the equipment capacity.

Lightweight, waterproof and versatile leather
The leather's primary function is to provide storage and dust protection for the padded core unit, useful when your gear is packed at home. Keeps the core unit closed and protected. Secondary function: can also be used as a packing cell. You can fill it with clothes or other general items and pack it in your backpack or rolling bag.

EVA protective shell, dividers and frame
The unit has EVA foam walls and dividers for added protection. The inner frame keeps the walls stable and prevents them from collapsing under the weight of the equipment. The frame ensures proper weight distribution of the camera equipment and eliminates internal sagging in the bag.
