The Action X40 is designed for energetic photographers with serious equipment needs. It is an efficient and quick-access field-made camera bag designed for action in bad weather, constantly changing environments and challenging terrain. The X40 is designed to securely carry a portrait grip frame and comfortably fits most mirrorless and DSLR cameras (up to 6.7 inches or 17cm tall) through the DSLR Core Unit series. Its roll-top access allows users to expand or reduce the useful capacity according to daily needs. The bag features multiple attachment straps, including TPU compression straps for added durability when attaching skis, and a detachable helmet holder allows users to securely attach climbing, ski or bike helmets to the side of the bag, separate from their photography gear. Action X's interchangeable and adjustable shoulder straps have two zippered pockets that can store the latest iPhone Pro Max phones, a water bottle or personal accessories. The Action X25, X30, X40 and X50 feature side camera access and two removable tripod or water bottle pouches that can be moved to the belt to give users instant access to important accessories like water and lenses. They can be completely removed to save weight. Two padded compartments protect laptops and tablets up to 16 inches. Adjustable Trunk Height - The X40 has three height adjustments with approximately 7 cm (2.7 in) of vertical adjustment. This means that the same backpack fits short or tall body lengths - men's or women's - so it can be customized for everyone. Those with taller or wider trunks can add the Booster Kit for a comfortable fit.

Core Unit Modular Camera Insert System - The X40 uses our Mirrorless Core Unit series. Core Units provide impact-resistant protection for Mirrorless and DSLR cameras and lenses, ensuring the user is never carrying more padding and weight than necessary. Small, Medium, Large Mirrorless Core Units also fit into the X40 v2 backpack.

Dual Laptop/Tablet Sleeve - Both the back and front panel padded sleeve can accommodate a laptop up to 16 inches. The two sleeves allow you to pack both a tablet and a laptop while providing options for different packing scenarios.

Expandable Roll-Top Access - The Action X series features roll-top access so the bag can be adjusted to your gear needs while providing a tight and compact fit. The roll top can be expanded in the volume range of 7 liters. There is also an additional quick-access YKK SplashGuard® zipper on the top, which makes accessing your gear extremely quick and easy, especially in inclement weather.

Hidden tracking device compartment - The new hidden pocket can hold a personal tracking device, so you always know where your package is. In the unfortunate event that our equipment goes missing, the tracker can help us locate it and recover the equipment. AirTag and Tile Pro devices fit in the pocket.
