The king is dead. The order was disbanded. The country is falling apart. And our employer was killed But I swear it wasn't us!

The king of Tristia is dead. Once upon a time, elite warriors who knew the law, the ruler's Old Coats, roamed the country to maintain order until they were thrown to the winds. In these turbulent times, Falcio Val Mond and his two traveling judge companions, Kest and Brasti, provide an escort as bodyguards for a noble lord, who refuses to pay them. The situation could only get worse if their client was lying dead on the floor while the culprit planted incriminating evidence at the scene of the murder. But wait! After all, this is exactly what happens!

Meanwhile, in the world's most corrupt city, a conspiracy is hatched to seize the throne. The carefully planned series of murders would end with the death of an orphaned little girl, ruining everything the three good friends had fought for before. But in order to keep their final promise to King Paelis and their final mission to uncover the plot and save her life, they must reunite the Oldcoats. In this fight, they can only rely on their legendary coat and sword: the nobles have become tyrants, the knights have become outlaws, and they can only trust the blade of the traitors.
