Product description
Ádám Schmideg's first book of poems selects from the fruits of several years, evoking loads of colors and moods along loosely edited themes. From tough guys to intellectual dreamers, life paths open up, sometimes pulling the corners of our mouths into a smile, sometimes cutting a knife into our hearts, or just making a crack. Wizzair, Putin, Lonely Planet and Patkány Gym fit well together. Trends and everyday life, dreams and hospital smells, tolerance and smoking, drunkenness and mindlessness, love and carnality, exciting lives, instant travel.
Ádám Schmideg lives and creates on the border of two areas. Oscillating between literature and informatics, it is part of both groups and stands out from both groups. He rebels against everyday life, his poems take place in the bourgeois world, but his characters are revolutionaries in thought. Only sometimes in action.
"Ádám Schmideg's poems are like a kaleidoscope: we always see a different picture, even though the basic elements are the same throughout. Fates, distant countries, fleeting encounters, figures traveling through their lives and the world flash like shards of glass between mirrors: the confusion it will be order to become chaos again." "I escorted two blind men across the road
Can I do more for them?
I can't take the speck out of their eyes"
