SCHLEICH 15023 dinosaurs Ankylosaurus figura
Product description
The common characteristic of Schleich figures is meticulous, detailed workmanship and hand painting.
Ankylosaurus (meaning 'cobbled lizard') is a genus of ankylosaurid dinosaurs whose fossils were found in Cretaceous geological formations in the western part of North America. One species is known, magniventris.
Although its complete skeleton has not been found, and several other dinosaurs are known from much larger fossils, Ankylosaurus is often considered the archetype of armored dinosaurs. Its well-known features, such as the heavily armored body and heavy tail mace, are also found in other ankylosaurids, but Ankylosaurus is the largest member of the family.
