Sarah Addison Allen - Sugar Queen- Sweet life

Twenty-seven-year-old Josey Cirrini is certain of three things: that winter is her favorite season in her hometown in North Carolina, that she's a pathetic successor to a true Southern belle, and that candy is best eaten in the privacy of her closet. Josey's life has been uneventful for many years at his mother's house, he is only comforted by a huge collection of sweets and romantic novels, which he escapes to every night... Until one day he realizes that his closet has been taken over. It was hidden in none other than the local waitress, Della Lee Baker, a rude but soft-hearted woman who is one-third fate herself - but two-thirds a fairy godmother... Escaping from an unfortunate and flawed life, Della Lee decides to Josey his secret closet is the safest place. In return, she changes Josey's life - because it's clear that this closet is not the property of a happy woman. Under the influence of Della Lee's raw love, Josey quickly gives up pecan rolls and caramels, discovers his sometimes very fierce female instincts, and soon realizes that life holds much more possibilities than he thought.
