A lightweight, fast, versatile zoom lens for Sony's full-frame mirrorless cameras, the AF 24-60mm F2.8 FE is built for everyday carry without compromising image quality. With a constant F2.8 aperture, it's suitable for landscapes, still lifes and portraits, delivering reliable low-light performance and smoothly separating the subject from the background, while keeping the gear compact, weighing just 494g and measuring 102-126mm in length.

Co-developed with Schneider-Kreuznach, the optical design combines three HR, two ED and three aspherical elements with Samyang's UMC coating to control aberrations and deliver sharp contrast and color throughout the image. The 9-lamella membrane results in a pleasant, rounded bokeh effect. For both stills and video, the linear STM drive provides fast, quiet autofocus with reliable subject tracking, and the AF/MF switch provides quick access to manual fine-tuning when needed.

Taking close-up shots is its strength: at 24 mm focal length to 0.18 m, with 0.27x magnification, or at 60 mm focal length to 0.32 m, with 0.25x magnification, so detailed shots can easily be taken without changing lenses. The robust aluminum tube is IP5X dust- and splash-proof, as well as water- and oil-repellent, and the practical 72 mm front threaded connection makes it easy to use filters.
