SAMAI Plantain Chips with Sea Salt are crispy strips of cooking plantain, lightly seasoned with sea salt and sold in a 115 g pack as a snack for in between meals. The plantains are grown by local farmers in Ecuador, naturally ripened, picked and sorted by hand, and then fried until crisp in non-hydrogenated pure vegetable oil.
The chips contain no added sugar and, according to the manufacturer, are gluten-free, lactose-free, trans-fat-free and free from cholesterol, nuts, corn and GMOs. They are certified Kosher and vegan. No flavour enhancers, artificial flavourings, colourings or MSG are used.
The ingredients are cooking plantain (70%), non-hydrogenated palm oil and sea salt (1%). A savoury alternative to classic potato crisps.
