Building on the foundations of the HS1, the design team has completely redesigned the microphone's headband. The headband and microphone arm are made of stainless spring steel and are adjustable so that they can be precisely adjusted to the user's head. The headband is connected to ear hooks, which are made of flexible hypoallergenic silicone and are also adjustable for maximum comfort.

The headband has a resistant ceramic coating and is available in two colors and two sizes: black and flesh-colored (beige) and 'L' (adult) and 'S' (child) sizes. The HS2 cable is Kevlar-reinforced and braided. Its connector is a gold-plated 3.5mm TRS (small jack), which also includes an easily removable fixing nut (for Sennheiser pocket transmitters). Thanks to this, the HS2 can be used with all small jack input recorders or pocket transmitters that can provide 2-5V plug-on voltage for it - i.e. it is compatible with practically all devices on the market. It can also be used with professional XLR output devices that provide 48V phantom power with the VXLR+ converter.
