Robyn Carr - Virgin River 2. - Shelter Mountain

Another novel based on the highly successful Netflix series!

For the second time in a year, a woman stumbles into Virgin River at night to finally put the past behind her.

John "Preacher" Middleton is about to close the bar on a rainy October evening when a young woman opens it with her three-year-old son. Preacher, a former Marine who has experienced plenty of pain, immediately notices that they are fleeing a crisis when he sees that the woman is covered in blue. Preacher wants to protect them and punish the one who did this to them, but he immediately knows that he is now driven by more than just an instinctive desire to help. Paige Lassiter stirs up feelings in this gentle giant that Preacher never allowed to dominate him.

Then Paige's ex-husband shows up in Virgin River. And if there's one thing the Navy's motto, Semper Fi, has taught Preacher, it's that there are things worth fighting for.
