The Raspberry Pi 5 M.2 HAT+ is an expansion board that lets you connect M.2 storage drives and other M.2 devices to the Raspberry Pi 5 via a PCIe x1 interface. Transfer speeds of up to 500 MB/s are possible, offering much faster storage access than conventional microSD cards.
The board features an M.2 Key M connector and supports 2230 and 2242 M.2 modules. It can supply up to 3 A of current to M.2 devices. Built-in Power and Activity LEDs make it easy to monitor the status and activity of the device.
The package includes a ribbon cable, a 16 mm stacking header, standoffs and screws. Measuring 65 mm × 56.5 mm, the board fits the Raspberry Pi 5 precisely and weighs 50 g.
