Rangos Katalin - A képzett beteg
Product description
"If we are even a little bit important to ourselves (I am very important for example!), we need to know about the diseases discussed in this volume. And if, on top of that, Kati Rangos asks the expert doctors, we are guaranteed to understand why it is important to know about all this."
- Sándor Friderikusz
The first volume of Katalin Rangos is a selection of the author's medical interviews for Klubrádio.
As a child, when I heard that my parents were planning to challenge Doctor Kőhidai, I imagined spraying the room full of a special chemical meant to make them forget about the doctor's appointment. This spell was sometimes crowned with success, sometimes not, in any case, I was afraid of needles, the smell of hospitals, and last but not least, diseases all my life.
Then it happened that I talked more and more with doctors on the radio, and I was amazed to learn about a lot of new things. Headphones? Swallowable camera capsule? Small "samps" in the vein? Fecal transplant? I realized that all this could not only interest me. This is how this book was born.
Because if it is inevitable that we sometimes end up in bed, at least we should be trained patients.
The earlier stage of the author's career was spent at Magyar Rádió and Televízíó, he started as a trainee reporter, and ended his decades-long journalistic activity in the public service as chairman of the board of trustees in 2010. Since then, he edits and hosts a daily program entitled Szabad Sáv on the already mentioned Klubrádio.
"Kati Rangos is not only a qualified patient, but a real healer. I'll give you my soul anytime. Because she's empathetic, but at the same time, she's not afraid to use her razor-sharp tongue when needed. This is how it works during work as well. That's why it's a pleasure to listen to and read him."
