RAINPOINT Outdoor soil moisture sensor Wi-Fi 24 GHz IPX5 HCS021FRF

The RainPoint HCS021FRF is an outdoor soil moisture sensor that monitors soil humidity, temperature and light intensity around your plants, whether they grow in the garden or in pots. Readings are sent over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to a dedicated app, where you can check current values in real time and review data recorded over the past 24 hours or up to 10 days. This makes it easier to judge when plants need watering or more light.

In the app you can select your soil type, such as garden soil or potting mix, which helps improve the accuracy of moisture readings. The probe is simply inserted into the soil up to the MAX mark. The sensor runs on three AA batteries, which are not included.

With IPX5 protection against water jets, the device is designed for outdoor use and can handle moisture and splashing water. A light sensor on top measures brightness. According to the manufacturer, the wireless range is up to 60 m, depending on obstacles.
