QIDI Multi-filament system Box for Q2 series

The QIDI Box is a multi-filament system for the Q2 series that lets you print in multiple colours and materials through four independent channels. It accepts 1.75 mm filaments and switches automatically to a backup spool when the active one runs out. Filaments can be dried during printing at up to 65 °C, while temperature and humidity are monitored in real time.

The feed system uses a dual drive made of hardened steel and four separate NEMA 17-style stepper motors, one for each channel. Supported materials include PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PET, PA, PC, PVA and BVOH (after drying), PP, POM, HIPS, TPU 64D and certain carbon- and glass-fibre composites. NFC recognition of compatible QIDI filaments sets the print parameters automatically, and fault detection reports filament shortage, tangling and jams.

Filament spools can be stored in an airtight compartment with desiccant to limit moisture exposure. Several materials are not supported, including TPE, standard TPU, TPU 95A, QIDI PAHT-CF, wet PVA and BVOH, and some Silk filaments. A PTC fuse and two temperature sensors cut the power supply automatically if abnormal temperatures are detected.
