The PREMIUMCORD HDMI 2.1 optical cable, 5 metres long, connects two audio and video devices, such as a Blu-ray player and an LCD or plasma television. As an active optical cable it carries the signal over long distances without loss and is resistant to electromagnetic interference, offering picture quality that exceeds conventional copper cables.
It supports 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz with 12-bit colour depth and a maximum data rate of 48 Gb/s. Supported features include HDR, VRR, ALLM, eARC, ARC and CEC, along with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio formats. The cable is backward compatible with the HDMI 2.0 and 1.4 standards.
The hybrid cable, 4.6 mm in diameter, contains four OM3 optical fibres and seven copper conductors. Its HDMI Type-A connectors are gold-plated, and it requires no external power supply. The cable is directional: the connector marked "Source" goes into the source device, and the one marked "Display" into the display.
