Discovery journeys consist of 8 scenes. The first four scenes are based on the core rules of the Catan Sea Voyager Expansion. You have to play the scenes in the given order, because the scenarios of the scenes from 5 to 8 are more complicated and additional new rules come into effect. The scenario of scene 9 provides space for free play based on your own ideas.

The game is only supplementary, for its use you need the base game Catan Settlers as well as the Catan Sea Traveler add-on.
