Peridot is a natural mineral water with a naturally high pH value of 8.1. The pH is not artificially adjusted; it results from the water's natural composition. It has low hardness and a fine, smooth taste, giving it a pleasant drinking quality.
The water comes from a closed aquifer that formed around 19,800 years ago during the Last Glacial Maximum, and is protected from anthropogenic contamination. Its low deuterium content, caused by the extremely cold infiltration temperature of 1 to 2 °C, makes it a distinctive water in Hungary and worldwide.
