The most iconic card game in the Witcher world has now arrived in tabletop form! A fast, tactical and unpredictable duel, where every card you play can change the course of the fight.

Gwent was originally a mini-game in the video game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but has now become a classic in its own right. Two players, two warlords, face each other: they control factions, build a deck of leader and unit cards, and then try to overcome the strength of their opponents from turn to turn. Each faction plays in a different style - from the raw power of monsters to the wily spies of Nilfgaard to the warriors of Skellige.

The gameplay is simple, yet deep: on your turn, you either play a card, activate your leadership ability, or pass and tactically let your opponent spend more of their power. The round is won by whoever has more power collected on the battlefield - but two rounds are required to win outright. Bluffing, timing, and how you play your cards are just as important as sheer power.

Special cards like weather or scorch can completely rewrite the course of the battle, while heroes resist all effects and can be key to victory. The one-time or permanent abilities of the leader cards add even more color to the strategy.

The box also includes several game variants: you can play a tournament with several decks, a team match with 2-2 players, or even a mass fight with 3-5 players. What's more, a single-player mode is available, where the opponent's deck moves automatically - so you can experience the thrill of the fight even if you're playing alone.
