C8 is a universal eight-channel charger compatible with most cylindrical batteries. The LCD shows the voltage, current, charging time, internal resistance and state of charge of the cell. The specially designed housing allows simultaneous charging of the largest battery (type C or 22650) on all eight channels.

Automatic or manual selection of the optimal current
By default, the charger automatically adjusts the charging current based on the battery characteristics. It is also possible to manually adjust from 100mA to 1500mA for Li-ion batteries and from 100mA to 1000mA for Ni-MH and Ni-CD batteries.

Choosing the type of battery
Newell Smart C8 automatically recognizes Li-ion 4.2 V and NiMH / NiCd 1.48 V battery types. It does not automatically recognize LiFEP04 and Li-ion 4.35 V batteries. To charge batteries, enter their type manually.

Measurement of internal resistance and cell capacity
Before charging, the device measures the internal resistance and estimates the capacity of the cell. Both values ​​are displayed on the LCD display.

Calculation of capacity by charging
After charging is complete, the display shows the estimated battery capacity.

Many safeguards
Improper battery insertion and short-circuit protection, and automatic charging stop when the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharging, make the process safe and energy-saving. The cover made of fire-resistant materials and the perfectly designed heat dissipation further increase the safety level.

Repairing overdischarged lithium-ion batteries
Most chargers cannot charge excessively discharged or 0V cells. The Newell Smart C8 will attempt to reactivate and repair the lithium-ion battery when it detects such a cell.

Unfortunately, cells emitted below a certain level are destroyed and may not be able to be reactivated.
