Mindbug - First Encounter is an easy-to-learn, "open the box, shuffle the deck, deal to the two of you, and you're good to go" type of game. Its operation is very simple: In your own turn, you either play a card (and execute its ability), or you attack your opponent with your already played cards, against which he can defend himself with his played cards.

Except! Both players have two mind tentacles. After the opponent has played a card, but before activating it, the player may choose to use one of their mind tentacles to steal the card and execute it themselves. How does all this turn the game upside down? In a combo game, pulling out a powerful card from your other hand at the greatest moment is a serious feat!

The rules are simple, the cards are varied (and fun), the game is tight and tense, just know how to use the brain-teasing bugs well! The only question is whether you can get inside your opponent's head!
