N. K. Jemisin - Az obeliszkkapu

The wall that symbolizes opposition to tradition is unmoved. As the only ray of hope, it has long been buried under the ever-thickening layer of ash.

Ten-Ringed Alabaster - the madman, the crippler of the world, the savior - returns with a mission: he wants to train his successor, Essun. Essunt, who found shelter, but did not find his daughter. Alabaster comes up with a request: if Essun does it, it will forever seal his fate as the Unshakeable.

Meanwhile, far away from her, Nassun, her daughter, is getting stronger and stronger - and her decisions will break the world. The season that marks the end of everything grows darker and darker as civilization gradually sinks into the long, dark night.

In the continuation of the fifth season, the obelisks and an ancient mystery finally answer the questions. N. K. Jemisin proves once again that it was not for nothing that he was nominated for all the major SF awards in recent years: The Obelisk Gate is another unforgettable fantasy that boldly pushes the boundaries of the genre - moreover, after its predecessor, this volume also received the Hugo Award.
