Murakami Haruki - 1Q84 1. - Ezerkülöncszáznyolcvannégy

The worlds are traversable, if not for everyone. But from time to time, the mythical little people find a passage through which they can intervene in human history.

However, when Tengo, who teaches mathematics to Aomame, who subordinates his whole life to the desire for love, unknowingly opens the gate to 1Q84 through a literary work, it turns out that for people, traffic between worlds is only one-way. The elimination of the leader of the sect, inspired by the mysterious small people, who commits terrible deeds, and the restoration of the disturbed time of the world, make sense as the goal of a lifetime of waiting. Although the choice is not easy: the balance of the world always comes at a high price, and the interests of the individual do not matter.

By reading the mirroring chapters in the second book of Murakami's large-scale trilogy, we can not only continue to follow the power of a love that moves worlds, but we can also raise the questions of reality and genuineness anew either in the language of philosophy or mysticism.
