These creamy Mixit crème boule balls are inspired by the Dubai chocolate trend and combine dates, pistachio and crispy kataifi. Each ball contains a velvety smooth pistachio cream with crunchy baked kataifi pastry strands, wrapped in a layer of cocoa and date mass. The cocoa comes from Peruvian single origin beans, and the chopped pistachios are also added to the filling.
Kataifi, also known as kadayif, is a pastry made of fine strands that is traditionally valued in Arab cuisine for its distinctive crunch. The sweet is made without palm oil and contains about 60 percent dried dates.
Its compact size makes it an easy snack to take along and enjoy between meals.
