The Midea MDWEF1034CW-WG-EU is a freestanding dishwasher in white with a slim 45 cm width and capacity for 10 standard place settings. Its compact footprint makes it a good fit for smaller kitchens, while it still offers the smart features usually found on larger models.

The unit carries an energy efficiency rating of E, with a weighted consumption of 76 kWh per 100 cycles and around 9 litres of water per cycle. Noise output is rated at 49 dB(A). Wi-Fi and SmartHome connectivity allow you to start and monitor the machine remotely through a mobile app, and additional programmes can be downloaded to it.

Eight programmes are available, including Intensive, ECO, 90 minutes, Quick and Quiet, along with app-accessible Glass, Hygiene and Self-cleaning cycles. The upper rack is height-adjustable, so larger items can fit in the lower basket. Further convenience features include a delayed start of 3, 6, 9 or 12 hours, extra drying, a half-load option and child lock, plus an antibacterial filter system that helps limit bacterial growth and unpleasant odours.
