Product description
Ajahn Sumedho entered the order in Thailand in 1966 as a Theravadin bhikkhu, spending 10 years in the northeast of Thailand as a disciple of Ajahn Chan, a master of the original tradition. The English Sangha Association invited him to England in 1976, where he then founded two larger communities - the Chithurst and Amaravati communities - in addition to countless smaller ones. He was elected President of the Buddhist Society of Great Britain in 1984.
