Product description
Colored inks - the title of this book wants to show both the colorfulness and iridescence of literature, and the historical relationship of literature to ink, i.e. to the material assumption of literature, to the "madeness" of works.
The studies in this volume deal with the works and history of Hungarian literature from several points of view - with their diversity, they hope to illustrate that there is no one privileged version of literature, and there is no one privileged approach: just as we can use literature for many things, so many different explanations can be valid, even next to each other, with regard to individual works and literary historical processes.
Here we find studies on literary cults, the history of the linguistics of Hungarian literature, the traditions of teaching the Hungarian language and literature, longitudinal sections on the functioning of the literary traditions of the last two hundred years; and analyzes of some particularly important literary works.
But in the background of each study lies the awareness of the importance and interest of Hungarian literature and literary history.
"Many times, Margócsy does nothing more than ask with great enthusiasm and inexhaustible passion about the methodological and methodological inadequacies that mostly operate without reflection, and even flourish, and then retells the whole thing with his characteristic literary historian's meticulousness." (Sándor Bazsányi, 2013)
"For Margócsy, the problems of literary history are personal questions, they have an existential stake, they are not tied to an era, but they have a general interest, and their understanding (at least their description, if not their explanation) is incredibly important." (Márton Szilágyi, 2019)
