The MAGUS Metal D600 BD LCD metallographic digital microscope is designed for examining objects in reflected light, using bright-field, dark-field and polarization microscopy techniques. This microscope is used to examine metal and semiconductor samples, as well as other flat and polished samples with high reflectivity. You can examine translucent samples such as thin films and particles stuck on filters in transmitted light. The microscope can be used in the metallurgical and engineering industries, in engineering and quality control laboratories, as well as in technical universities.

Digital camera
MAGUS CHD40 is a digital HDMI camera with three video interfaces and automatic switching function between 4K and Full HD depending on the monitor resolution.
The camera's 8-megapixel sensor, connected via HDMI or USB 3.0, captures realistic 4K resolution (3840x2160 px) images. When connected via Wi-Fi, Full HD (1920x1080 px) image quality is available. The camera can be connected directly to a TV, monitor or projector with an HDMI interface. In this mode, the camera works independently without a computer. The HDMI connector provides a high and stable transfer rate when transferring from the camera to an external screen. You can connect the camera to a computer via Wi-Fi or USB 3.0. Video is recorded at 30 frames per second (fps).
The camera combines high FPS and high bandwidth HDMI. Thus, the videos have bright colors, there are no freezes or gaps between the frames. At maximum resolution, the image is well detailed, moving objects are visible without error, and the movement of objects is displayed without delay.

Monitor
The MAGUS MCD40 monitor is intended for use with the visualization system of the MAGUS microscope. The monitor is connected to a camera mounted on the microscope to display real-time images. MAGUS supports 4K HDMI cameras. The diagonal of the screen is 13.3 inches. The IPS matrix provides bright images with large viewing angles. If you look at the display from an angle, the color reproduction is not distorted. You can place the display on a folding stand, table or shelf, or attach it directly to the camera or microscope stand.

Optical elements
The three-eye lens head part has a three-eye lens tube suitable for mounting a digital camera. The beam splitter directs the light to the camera, two positions are available: 100:0 and 0:100. The light beam goes all the way into the eyepieces or the three-lens tube. The diopter adjustment ring is located on the left eyepiece.

The magnification of the microscope in the basic configuration is 50-400x. Additional objectives and eyepieces increase the magnification range. The microscope uses planar achromatic objectives with a long working distance for bright-field and dark-field microscopy techniques. The turret has five holes for mounting lenses - four lenses supplied with the product and one optional. The turret with the objectives is oriented towards the interior - the user can see the objective inserted into the optical path.

Illumination
The lighting uses warm halogen lamps, which do not tire the eyes even when working for a long time. The power of the transmitted light is 30 W, and that of the reflected light is 50 W, which ensures comfortable work with dark-field microscopy.

The illumination system using reflected light includes the following: a dark-field device, a polarization device, a centerable field and aperture diaphragm for the Köhler illumination method, and color filters. The light source can also be centralized.

The transmitted-light illumination system includes: a condenser with a flip-down lens for low-magnification objectives, and an aperture and field diagonal for the Köhler method.

Stage and focusing mechanism
The sample moves together with the stage along two axes. The height of the examined sample must not exceed 20 mm. For working with transparent samples, the stage has a transparent glass plate.

Focusing can be adjusted with the coaxial coarse and fine focusing knobs on both sides of the bottom of the microscope. This allows the observer to place their hand freely on the table instead of holding it in the air. The coarse focusing mechanism has a lock button on the right side of the device and a tension regulator on the left.

The range of accessories compatible with the MAGUS Metal 600 BD microscope includes: long working distance objectives for brightfield and darkfield, eyepieces, calibration slides and digital cameras.
