Objective for scientific research and high-resolution, high-sensor camera photomicrographs. It is recommended for applications with strict requirements for optical resolution and image clarity: microscopic examination of living cells, visualization of deep tissue layers, and qualitative and quantitative analysis of the examined compositions. A plane-apochromatic lens shows a higher degree of chromatic and spherical error compared to plane-achromatic lenses. Color errors are corrected for five colors, spherical error is corrected for four colors, and field curvature is corrected for 90% of the diameter of the field of view.

The resolution limit of the 60х/1.42 objective is 0.19 μm. The lens is designed for an infinity-corrected tube length. The parfocal distance is 60 mm. When using a 10x/22 mm eyepiece, the field of view diameter is 0.36 mm. The lens is designed for use with samples with 0.17 mm cover plates.

When using a 60x objective, the lower limit of the microscope's useful magnification is 710x. A lower magnification does not make it possible to distinguish the details of the object in the image created by the lens. The upper limit of useful magnification is 1420x when using a 60x lens. Magnification higher than this is usually considered "useless" because it does not provide more details about the sample. For a 60x/1.42 objective, use 10x to 20x magnification eyepieces.
