The members of the LinkEasy LE/10/100/1000 product family are Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000BaseTX – 1000BaseSX/LX/X unmanaged standalone media converters. The products are available with multimode, monomode, single fiber (BiDi) and SFP optical interfaces. The link status transmission (Link Fault Pass Through - LFP) function can be enabled with the microswitches on the products, the role of which is that if a connection error occurs on one side of the connection, it also breaks the connection on the other side of the connection. With this, the converter indicates to the network device connected to it that the connection is not working, so it has the opportunity to choose another route. The converter operates in L2 store-and-forward mode when connecting network devices with different speeds (e.g. 100BaseTx - 1000BaseLX), and provides L1 cut-through connection for interface connections with the same speed. The latter provides a completely transparent connection with minimal delay. The LED displays provide information on the power supply status of the converter, the link, speed and duplex status of the UTP port as well as the link and duplex status of the optical interface. The converters can also be placed in a 2U chassis, which, in addition to mounting in a 19" rack, also provides a redundant power supply for a maximum of 16 converters.
