Tally is not ashamed of her autism, because no matter how much it complicates her life sometimes, it is an integral part of her being. But now she's in her first year at Kingswood Academy, and only her best friend, Layla, knows she has autism. Although many people are uncomfortable around Tally for some reason, Layla never was...until now.
The Academy is different from her previous school, and she feels she has to act "normal". But what does normal mean? As Tally hides her true self, the question arises: is fitting in really such an important and good thing?
