Kulin Borbála - Etikum and esztétikum kapcsolata Illyés Gyula életművében

Can the portrait of a classic author be redrawn? In recent years, there have been attempts to do so in connection with the work of Gyula Illyés: his previously unpublished poems and diary entries from 1956 have been published. Borbála Kulin undertakes a text-centered reinterpretation of the artist's oeuvre. With a close reading, he analyzes works that have been displaced from the center of the canon. In the objective poetry of the twenties and thirties, he identifies the forms of appearance of the lyrical subject, then examines the problematic of the action and the integrity of the subject in the drama Tistzák, and finally approaches the question of the ethics of death in connection with the essay novel Kháron ladikján. In these lyrical, dramatic and prose works, the author looks for aesthetic traces of how Illyés's famous "you can't escape" ethic is formed.
