The Knipex Cobra QuickSet high-tech water pump pliers 87 22 250 combines the proven, safe locking mechanism of the swivel with an additional sliding function that facilitates work in very narrow and hard-to-reach places. Simply open the Cobra QuickSet Pliers fully, place the upper jaw against the workpiece and slide the lower jaw toward it. The spring-loaded pivot locks securely in place and can only be released by pressing the QuickSet button. The fine adjustment enables optimal adaptation to different workpiece sizes and a comfortable grip. The knurled gripping surfaces are self-closing, ensure a secure grip and prevent the workpiece from slipping. For a permanently secure grip, the teeth are hardened with high-frequency current to a hardness of approximately 61 HRC. Thanks to the 25-position fine adjustment, the Cobra QuickSet can be optimally adjusted for different workpiece sizes. It can hold pipes up to 2" and 50 mm in diameter, as well as nuts with a key hole of up to 46 mm. The Cobra QuickSet 87 22 250 has a through-fit design. In contrast to an external fit, there are no tipping forces under load, as the jaws stabilize each other within the fit. The integrated anti-pinch protects the user from crushing injuries. The pliers are forged from chrome-vanadium steel and hardened several times in oil, so they are very strong and robust
