The survival of the species depends on the successful creation and upbringing of offspring. It is no wonder, then, that in the course of the development of life on earth, various, often surprising, and sometimes touching forms of caring for offspring were created. The book tries to present some of these. The volume is an edited, richly illustrated version of the last manuscript of the outstanding Hungarian author from Transylvania, Éva Kiss Bitay, who died in 2017. Smaller units are also associated with larger Readings. In connection with the chapters, you can also find a small quiz in the volume, with three possible answers and the solution. This aims to draw children's attention to the interesting facts and data related to what Éva Kiss Bitay describes, and to make the book interactive. In order to better understand what Éva Kiss Bitay has written - with regard to the target group - the reader can find the biological and natural science technical terms in the text in a small glossary on each page, from which they can find information about the meaning of any unknown words. The volume is accompanied by an index containing the names of the animals in alphabetical order, which also helps in the targeted search of the occurring species. The conclusion contains the rules of the nature walk in the author's interpretation.
