The Gesta Hunnorum et Hungarorum is our very important historical source. Simon IV of Kézai He dedicated his work to King László: Its origin is placed between 1282-85. The chronicle is divided into four main parts: Preface; the First Book (the history of the Huns), the Second Book (the history of the Hungarians), and the Appendices. Not a single medieval manuscript of Simon Kézai has survived. What we know today came from the estates of Ádám Ferenc Kollár and then János Zsámboki. The XIX In the 19th century, a copy was kept in the Teleki library in Marosvásárhely. It was translated into Hungarian for the first time by Károly Szabó in 1862. Our volume contains two translations, one by Károly Szabó and the other by Mihály Császár.
