Karczag György - Zúgó nyilak (2021)

Sometime in the early 1220s, Ákos nembél Ákos, the ambitious but childless lord, took his bastard, the still infant Ernye, to his side. The boy is raised first by his father and his servant named Pietro, then by the aging II. A favorite of King András, he will later become a member of the royal bodyguard. In 1241, as the commander of a bodyguard squadron, he took up the fight against the Mongol flood and rescued IV. Béla from the Muhi blood bath. Recovering from his serious wounds, he again gathers armed men around him to continue his fight against the enemy that is destroying the country.
After the unexpected Tatar retreat, Ernye Ákos faces the biggest temptation of his life: if he wanted, he could even claim the throne of the king who fled to the island of Trau with the only army capable of fighting. Ernye has to decide - will he seize the opportunity, but then unleash a civil war on the tormented kingdom, or overcome his ambition and once again bow to the ruler who is preparing to return.
