Julius Schäfer - Drezdai loves

This volume takes its readers back to a vanished world, to the everyday life of the German Democratic Republic. In the politicized atmosphere of the prosperous state of the 70s, flirtations and romances take place with unbroken momentum. Perfectly liberated German women are equal in all spheres of society - including love. The motivations of their activity and interest are often incomprehensible to a newly arrived Hungarian young man, but the mutual attraction overrides everything. In the background, university student life takes place - with all its strangeness, extremes, lightness and torment - between the two corner points: the trials of the exam period and the pursuit of love. The volume's 13 light, twisty and percussive short stories evoke an idyllic and busy world: standing as a foreigner in a restricted world, in the former GDR.
