Inger Mari - Örökanyák - Világlányok (Számi versek)

Sámi-language poets Rauni Magga Lukkari and Inger-Mari Aikio intimately map the worlds of female and male love relationships. This double lyrical volume, which is sensitive to both the ascending and the following generations, speaks from a center where the ritual of loving release and acceptance of each other can take place, releasing from war memories, divorces, culture shock and family feuds. The present translations of volumes written in the endangered Northern Sámi language enrich the Hungarian translation literature, which until now mostly featured male authors, with the greats of contemporary female Sámi poetry.
