"Székely also has so-called monumental architecture, but they did not have a transformative influence on the mass of the people. The majority of the people, in addition to the remaining ancient traditions of the village population and true to the Hun custom, still build only from wood, although there is also plenty of stone. Even today, the stone house has not gained a foothold, even though the wood is starting to thin out... The majority of today's houses, like the ancient Székely house, are made of wood. So we could safely talk about the Székely wooden house... Actually, we are discussing the existing memories of the Székely national wooden architecture, so that in connection with them we can infer its past from its forms and thus write the history of the Székely wooden architecture from the existing memories." - writes the author himself.
