Hungary világörökségei (2021)

Full of fascinating landscapes, historic cities, untouched natural wonders! Architectural masterpieces, villages passing down folk memory, regions symbolizing the idyllic coexistence of nature and man. All this is world heritage! And the fact that it is world heritage is now a title and rank, which means that the common treasures of different corners of the world will be preserved for the next generation. Be it in France, Jordan or Hungary, the places on the UNESCO World Heritage List are special, respected and attractive to tourists everywhere.
We can also be proud, as there are eight sites under World Heritage protection in Hungary, and there are even more on our waiting list. And if we look a little beyond the national border, we can still find plenty of places that are closely linked to the Hungarian past.
The interesting thing about our book is that it presents not only Hungary's world heritage sites, but also the candidates that are currently "only" on the waiting list and the Carpathian Basin sites across the border, but with a Hungarian connection - and it does all this in a colorful, story-telling and adventurous way. It is important to enrich ourselves, to learn as much as possible about the wonders of Hungary, and if we can, let us give in to the temptation and visit the sites.
