The HP Smart Storage Battery Holder Kit is a mounting kit that lets you install a Smart Storage Battery in HP ProLiant ML30 Gen11, ML30 Gen10 Plus, ML30 Gen10 and 110 Gen10 servers. It contains the battery holder unit needed to fit the Smart Storage Battery (part number 727258-B21) securely to the server board.
The kit is required when installing the battery, when fitting a P440/840 FIO controller (761872-B21/761874-B21), and whenever the battery is expanded or upgraded.
The holder provides a firm, stable fit and connection on the motherboard and supports the cache protection function of RAID controllers, helping to safeguard data in the event of a power failure. It is compatible with selected models from the HP ProLiant server family.
