Product description
HD nano Mk II UV glass is a special chemically enhanced optical glass that is remarkably four times stronger than normal glass, making it extremely robust. However, all glass has its limits, and so does HD Reinforced UV-Cut Glass. To reduce the risk of damage to the lens glass in the extreme scenario where the filter fails to withstand impact, the HD nano Mk II UV does not shatter easily in all directions. Instead, it sticks together, avoiding the risk of shards hitting the front element of the lens.
The glass has a sharp UV-cut property that cuts out UV light without negatively affecting the colors of the visible light spectrum. UV light can potentially cause haziness and a blue cast to the image. The filter reduces these negative effects, so the final image will ultimately be sharper and clearer.
The HD reinforced UV-polished optical glass provides perfect physical protection for the lens, and the high quality ensures that there will never be any unwanted color changes in the image!
FOREVER DURABILITY WITH HD LOW PROFILE FRAME
When it comes to filter quality, an often overlooked factor is the frame, and especially how the glass is mounted inside.
The HD nano Mk II takes stability to a new level: The glass is mounted in the frame using a special high-pressure pressing technology. This gives the glass extra long-lasting stability, which increases the overall strength of the filter and significantly extends its life.
The frame itself is made of aluminum for the best durability and is designed to be ultra-thin, which greatly reduces the chance of vignetting - so the filter is absolutely compatible with wide-angle lenses.
HOYA HD nano Mk II really sets the standard among premium filters. Its quality is outstanding in all areas, providing the best efficiency and protection at the same time. This titan is recommended for advanced and professional photographers - especially those who often shoot in harsh conditions and need an extra quality filter. A really powerful filter!
