The Hoya 77mm HMC Close-Up Filter Set II allows you to take macro shots with lenses that have a 77mm filter thread.

A close-up filter is actually a magnifier that optically reduces the focal length of the lens when it is behind the filter. This effect reduces the minimum focus distance between the lens and the subject, so zooming is achieved by reducing the distance between the subject and the combined lens + close-up filter.

The degree of magnification is indicated by the dioptre number. The higher the diopter value, the higher the relative magnification. You can increase or fine-tune the macro effect by combining several close-up filters. The filters in this kit are +1, +2 and +4 diopters.
