Honti János - A mese world

The world of the fairy tale, no matter how we look at it, no matter how we remember it: this world. Strange, even if we see it among our memories, at the center of our childhood spiritual life: the sharp border between the child and the adult, the missing and undiscoverable connection between them in spiritual development, is revealed with unmistakable clarity in the strange foreignness of the fairy tale experience. .
And what is foreign is perhaps not best understood by searching for it, by trying to find what is familiar; not in the way that we cling to a moment that seems familiar and, starting from this, we try to get closer to its nature step by step. Strangeness, unfamiliarity itself is not only a concept denoting a lack, but a situation, state, quality, essence: a situation that requires taking a stand against it, acknowledging its reality.
