Carcassonne Watchtowers is a mini expansion for the Carcassonne game consisting of 12 new tiles.

At the start of the game, mix the 12 new tiles with all the existing ones. When a player draws such a tile, it must be placed on the board according to the normal rules. You can also place a piece on this tile, but only on the city, road or field. A puppet cannot be planted in the tower.

When a road or city is completed, including the tower tile, bonus points are awarded to the players in the completed road or city. Each tower has a different bonus:

- Road bonus tower: 1 point for every square adjacent to the tower tile and for the tower square itself, on which there is at least one road piece (maximum 9 points)
- Puppet Bonus Tower: 2 points for every piece on the square adjacent to the tower tile and on the tower square itself
- Monastery bonus tower: 3 points for each monastery on the square adjacent to the tower tile and on the tower square itself
- Shield bonus tower: 2 points for each Shield symbol on the space adjacent to the tower tile and on the tower space itself
- City bonus tower: 1 point for each space adjacent to the tower tile and for the tower space itself, which has at least one city piece (maximum 9 points)

The tower does not give a bonus to the field, as it cannot be completed. The bonus points are given to the players before the points of the built road or city are counted.

It's just an add-on, it requires the base game.

German language edition, the supplement does not, but the interpretation of the user guide requires knowledge of the German language.
